Covid-19: Nigeria crosses 50,000 mark as 593 new confirmed cases were recorded

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 593 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours from 16 states. 253 patients were discharged and 4 deaths recorded.

The breakdown are as follows – Plateau-186, Lagos-172, FCT-62, Oyo-27, Delta-25, Rivers-20, Ondo-19, Edo-18, Kaduna-17, Enugu-12, Akwa Ibom-10, Ogun-7, Abia-6, Gombe-6, Kano-3 and Osun-3.

They also reported that 253 patients were discharged in 12 states. They include Delta-57, Plateau-49, Osun-29, Ebonyi-28, Gombe-15, Kaduna-15, Ogun-15, Rivers-15, FCT-13, Edo-10, Kwara-6 and Bayelsa-1.

The Four (4) deaths were reported in three states – Delta (2), Abia (1) and Enugu (1).

All the 36 states in Nigeria, and the FCT, have each reported a confirmed case.
Confirmed cases in Nigeria has now crossed the 50,000 mark as the total figure becomes 50,488.
