Two new COVID-19 deaths recorded in Lagos

Two new COVID-19 deaths have been recorded in Lagos State. The state Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, who disclosed this on Twitter this morning, said the first patient was a 45-year-old man who returned from India in January.

The second patient was a 36-year-old Nigerian female with severe underlying health condition. She had no history of travel or contact with any COVID-19 confirmed case.

This brings the number of COVID-19 related deaths in Lagos to 16.

Chico Ejiro died in my hands – wife

Speaking for the first time on her husband’s death, wife of popular Nollywood filmmaker, Joy Ejiro shared a picture of herself and Ejiro on Instagram on Saturday. She said she was glad to have spent the past 26 years with him. She wrote: “This is a rude shock!!!! We had a lot of plans for Christmas, we spoke a lot about how the day will go, we were recounting how God has been good to us this year and how grateful we are to be alive. “I never knew it was going to be my last midnight gist with you.
