#EndSARS: protesters chase away lawmakers

Angry Nigerians protesting the high-handedness of the Nigeria Police Force on Thursday in Abuja chased away some lawmakers, who had gone to address them.

The protesters however insisted on seeing the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan instead.

The protesters, succeeded in gaining entry into the main gate of the complex, booed and asked the lawmakers to go back.

Covid-19: 20 Nigerian doctors died in one week – NMA

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has announced that 20 doctors died of Coronavirus complications within the past seven days. Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Enema Amodu, revealed this in Abuja during a press briefing on Friday, December 25. Covid-19: 1074 new cases recorded in Nigeria

1074 new cases of coronavirus disease has been reported by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday, January 1 2021. 5 deaths were also reported. The cases were recorded in the following states and the FCT: Lagos-642, Kaduna-92, Rivers-78, FCT-66, Gombe-66, Kano-35, Ogun-31, Katsina-22, Plateau-20, Abia-7, Niger-4, Oyo-4, Akwa Ibom-3, Delta-2 and Osun-2. As at Friday, January 1, 2021, Nigeria has 88587 confirmed cases. 74373 cases have been discharged so far while 1294 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
